Louis van Gaal is no stranger to tough decisions. He began the job of taking Manchester United apart last summer and it appears that he may be making big changes again this close season.
The Daily Star reckons that another 10 players will depart this summer as Louis crafts his squad to his liking.
Manchester United to axe TEN players as Louis van Gaal’s revolution continues
We assess the likelihood of each reported departure:
Anders Lindegaard – Told us he didn’t want to spend his time at Manchester United picking his nose on the bench. Proceeded to pick his nose on the bench for 3 years.
VERDICT: GONE
Ben Amos – Hasn’t made the grade and Victor Valdes has vastly improved the depth of the squad.
VERDICT: GONE
Jonny Evans – Awful season. Will be surplus to requirements if Mats Hummels comes in.
VERDICT: GONE
Rafael – Hasn’t kicked on from the promising yet petulant youth that joined Manchester United. Does have age on his side at 24 however.
VERDICT: Will be offered choice to leave or stay and fight for place
Nick Powell – Talented but flattered to deceive.
VERDICT: GONE
Nani – Had ample opportunities to gain consistency but failed.
VERDICT: GONE
Tom Cleverley – Who?
VERDICT: GONE
Chicharito – Louis likes more complete number nines.
VERDICT: GONE
Angelo Henriquez – Perhaps too slight for the English game.
VERDICT: GONE
Will Keane – Looks a little slow for Manchester United.
VERDICT: GONE
