Who plays at number 9?

Like the great United teams of old, just when Chelsea looked as if they could be dropping points at the weekend, one of their main men stepped up and maintained that almost unassailable lead at the top of The Prem.

It seems inevitable to most that Chelsea will take the title now. If they beat United at the weekend then you would have to assume that it’s all over.

While Chelsea will definitely have a bigger fight on their hands next season – their next two opponents are improving quickly – they should take this title at a canter.

But, as a stand alone game, this one should be very interesting. United, with 6 wins on the bounce – are looking like the form team in the league and they will want to send a message to The Blues this weekend.

The big question for Chelsea is who plays up top. We are genuine fans of Loic Remy and would normally start him in the absence of Diego Costa. But wouldn’t it just be so typical of the living legend that is Didier Drogba, to come up with the goods against the big boys in his swan song season at the club?

For this reason, we are throwing him in from the start. His physical qualities will also be suited to this game as he can unsettle United’s improving, yet still sometimes shaky, defence.

So here is our team for the game of the weekend. Chelsea fans: Loic or Didier?
