Liverpool maintain an interest in the player and were prepared to exploit a Premier League loophole to guarantee a transfer in the summer. But Louis Van Gaal is attempting to use the same method to trump their rivals and secure the services of the 22-year-old.
Ings is a free agent in the summer and and such has been his form over the last year that some of the bigger names in world football have reportedly shown an interest.
He’s a very interesting player – intelligent, quick and very skillful, the Englishman is one of the more inventive players in The Premier League and has hit a commendable 9 goals in 30 games for the struggling Burnley side this season.
The 22 year old is bound to leave the club this summer and Manchester United are now said to be keen. With Radamel Falcao surely leaving the club this summer, and question marks over the futures of RvP and Chicharito, Ings could well be the bargain signing of the summer.
