In England it’s Manchester United. In Germany, Bayern Munchen. And in Spain it has to be Real Madrid.
We are speaking, of course, about teams for whom two bad results can represent a full blown crisis.
Such are the demands on these football juggernauts that apparent football Utopia can turn to the fires of hell in a matter of days.
At the end of 2014 many Real Madrid fans were heralding the start of a period of dominance over their rivals, as the team battered all in sight. Now, possibly the same fans, are battering Bale’s supercar in anger.
The fact is that Real Madrid probably just need to get Luka Modric back in the groove and buy one or two more defenders.
And, according to latest reports, Los Blancos have agreed a deal for Brazilian right back, Danilo, Marca reported this week:
Brazilian right-back Danilo, 23, has officially agreed to join Real Madrid from Porto on a six-year contract this summer.
‘…the overall figure (transfer fee) could rise to €35m if Danilo and the club achieve certain targets.’
The 23 year old, capped 13 times by Brazil, looks like the next mainstay for Brazil at international level. He’s a defender who loves to play on the front foot, has great mobility, pace and good quality in the final third of the pitch.
If he continues on his current trajectory we could be talking about Danilo as Real Madrid’s right back for the next 7-8 years. So the huge fee may actually prove to be a very prudent investment.
Let’s take a look at the lad in a action. Real Madrid fans: who else do you need to sign?
