We may never see the likes of The Class of ’92 again as so much of that amazing nucleus of talent came down to luck. Sure, the coaches take credit for nurturing them brilliantly. But very few youth academies will ever have so many players of the quality of Scholes, Becks, Giggs etc. coming through at the same time.
But things are currently looking pretty positive for Manchester United in terms of their young talent. Add a few stellar young imports and United could have an unbelievably pacy and inventive team in their pomp in 6 or 7 years.
We think that the likes of Januzaj, Wilson and Pereira (if Manchester United can hold on to him) are almost certain to make it into the big time. Add players like the current roster of Blackett, Shaw and McNair and you start to see a really impressive backbone for the Manchester United of tomorrow.
We have also had our eye on Sam Johnstone for some time and feel that he has a good chance of cementing a place in between the sticks in years to come.
Manchester United will always look to import young talent and Memphis Depay, Paul Pogba and Nathaniel Clyne look amongst the best young players in Europe right now.
So, with a really impressive young cast coming through, and the right investment, here is how Manchester United could look in future – a dazzling team indeed.
