Manchester United to offload three of their most high profile forwards in another summer of huge change?

Falcao hasn't done enough this season

Gone

While last summer brought major changes, and Louis van Gaal’s side are now beginning to motor at last, you do feel that the job is only half done in terms of the revamp.

The Dutch maestro has bought well and players such as Blind, Rojo and Shaw will continue to improve and be central to the long term plans at Manchester United.

But United arguably still need another right back, central defender and central midfielder as well as further refreshments up top.

The forward line could be bolstered by the likes of Memphis Depay, Gareth Bale and Paulo Dybala. But these signings will have to be balanced by several big name departures.

And soccersweep believes that up to three high profile forwards could be traded this summer as Louis may look to lower the average age of his squad.

Chicharito

A dead man walking at Manchester United. Gave his heart and soul to the club but perhaps doesn’t have the finesse or breadth of qualities that LvG wants in his strikers. GONE

Radamel Falcao

Could have become an absolute ledge at Manchester United. But things just haven’t fallen into place for Rad The Red. He was injured early doors and hasn’t rediscovered the form that got him on the Ballon D’Or shortlist twice. GONE

RvP

LvG has always been a big fan of RvP as an unerring finisher and scorer of crucial goals. But, at 32 in August, it’s difficult to see where the Dutchman will fit in next season at Old Trafford. If Louis continues with his preferred 4-3-3 then there is room for only one striker up top. LvG’s captain, Wayne Rooney, seems to have once more cemented that role and with James Wilson expected to get more starts – along with more potential new blood in the squad – we think it’s curtains for a very good player in his autumn years.
