Tottenham haven’t always done the most prudent transfer business over the last ten years but one of the very best signings has to be that which brought Christian Eriksen to the club a couple of summers ago.
While he was heralded as a superstar in the making at Ajax we have to admit that we thought he might struggle with the faster pace of The Premier League – to start with at least.
But he’s adapted like a duck to water and has been a sensation for Tottenham for the last couple of seasons. Latest reports suggest that, despite apparent interest from clubs such as PSG, the Danish midfielder is more than happy to say at Spurs:
Spurs playmaker Christian Eriksen has told French giants Paris Saint-Germain that he has no intention of leaving Spurs.
The Danish midfielder is a summer target for the cash-rich Parisians after an impressive season at White Hart Lane.
But Eriksen is loving life in London so much that he has told his agent to rebuff any interest from PSG.
Eriksen has played 75 games in all competitions for the White Hart Lane based outfit and scored an impressive 21 goals in the process from his position tucked in behind the striker. He’s also been superb from set-pieces and generally keeps Tottenham ticking.
All the plaudits have been for Harry Kane this season but his success must be put down, at least in part, to the service provided from the mercurial playmaker.
Let’s see some of Eriksen’s better moments for the club. Tottenham fans: is he an even more important player than Kane?
