It’s hotting up now. The posturing is over and now it’s time to get deals over the line.

We were really excited by the prospect of seeing Yehven Konoplyanka in The Premier League and possibly at Tottenham. But latest reports state, with confidence, that the player is on the verge of signing for Serie A side Roma.

The Daily Mail reports:

Tottenham set to miss out on Yevhen Konoplyanka

Dnipro driector Andriy Stenstenko has revealed that the club’s star player Yevhen Konoplyanka is on the verge of a move to Roma.

Speaking to the Ukrainian media, Stenstenko claimed the two clubs have agreed a deal in principle and it only remains for the Serie A side to discuss personal terms with the player.

But Tottenham may be about to do a good bit of business as they look to offload their flop Vlad Chiriches. The Romanian signed for the club in August 2013 but has been a liability and hasn’t looked particularly well-suited to Premier League football.

The Daily Mail reports that Roma wan this lad too:

Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches is the subject of renewed interest from Roma.

The deal has been bubbling for several months and the Italians have made contact again with the Romanian’s representatives.

the likelihood is Roma will make an offer to loan Chiriches with a permanent deal to follow.

He’s played 14 times for Tottenham this season but has mainly been used in cup matches and he doesn’t have the complete trust of many of the fans. We think that a loan, with a view to a permanent transfer, would be a good move for Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino streamlines his squad and gets rid of some of the dead wood.

Let’s have look at Chiriches in action for Tottenham. Spurs fans: is there any future for the lad at this club or is it best to get rid as soon as possible?
