This guy could step into any team in Europe and that is some statement when you consider the current forward line of Real Madrid.
But, with every top team in Europe seemingly interested Real Madrid have reportedly stolen a march on their rivals by agreeing a deal for the sensational Marco Reus.
British media outlet, The Daily Star, reports:
Spanish paper El Confidencial claims that the Germany international has agreed to sign a five-year contract with the Champions League holders worth £26m.
It is believed that two Real officials met with Reus’ camp in Dortmund towards the end of last year and thrashed out the terms of his move to the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid have been persistently linked to Reus and look to have finally sorted out a deal.
But we have asked the question before and we will ask it again. Who makes way to fit this guy in? He will clearly have sought assurances about his place in the team. But to fit him in you would imagine that Real Madrid would have to drop Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema. Either that or change formation. But that is as unlikely as it is to imagine Carlo Ancelotti dropping Ronaldo or Rodriguez.
Gareth Bale may leave the club or Benzema could be dropped and Ronnie deployed up top. Either way, Reus is good enough to get into the side. He floats across the grass as if he’s hardly touching the ground. He scores goals and creates. He rarely gives the ball away and he has that bit of magic with which all great players are blessed.
If Real Madrid do sign the lad, we simply can’t to see them play next season.
Let’s see him in action
