Real Madrid

Real Madrid fans’ joy as genius seen at game

In every generation of footballers there is one player who trumps all others. A player who captures the imagination and can do things with the ball that noone else can.

We have been lucky enough to see two of the best players in history playing at the same time in Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. But Real Madrid fans will be hoping that they have now captured the star of tomorrow.

And they will be overjoyed to see him watching on in the Vicente Calderon this week as Real Madrid took on Valencia in the Copa Del Rey – a game that they eventually lost 2-0.

British media outlet, The Daily Mail, snapped Odegaard at the stadium watching the game.

Martin Odegaard spotted at Vicente Calderon to watch Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid as La Liga leaders look to beat Barcelona and Co to Norway midfielder

Every top club in Europe seems to have expressed an interest in a lad with the world at his feet. At 16 he’s already represented Norway at full international level and, if his progress continues in this manner, we could be talking about the new Messi.

But, hype like this has ruined many a career. Real Madrid need to look after Odegaard if they do sign him, which seems inevitable now.

But you could argue that the lad couldn’t be in a better finishing school than Real Madrid where he will have the best facilities and coaching available to him 24/7.

We truly hope that he goes on to bewitch the fans for years to come because he is blessed with almost inconceivable natural talent.

Let’s see some more clips of him in action while we wait for him to pull on the Real Madrid shirt.
