Latest reports suggest that Real Madrid will allow their superb young French defined Raphael Varane leave the club for £20m with Manchester United and Chelsea said to be serious about taking the player.
The Daily Express reports:
Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal are both keen to offer the Frenchman first-team football, something that he is failing to get under Carlo Ancelotti, and were plotting to launch bids this month.
And according to reports in Spain, Real Madrid will part ways with the youngster if they are offered £20m for his services.
If he really is available for £20nm this one is no-brainer – Varane is a Rolls Royce of defender with his whole career ahead of him.
But we have already opined several times over the last few months that we can’t see this one happening. With Real Madrid’s centre backs Pepe and Sergio Ramos now 31 and 28 you would imagine that game time will increase steadily for a player who is regarded as next in line, after those two seasoned internationals, for a place in the starting XI. If either were injured Varane would be a certain starter. Indeed, we would pick him ahead of Pepe now. He has great pace, intelligence and wonderful touch which reminds us of Rio Ferdinand in his pomp.
He would be an amazing signing for Manchester United and Chelsea, who both need long-term replacement for titans of the game. Manchester United are still trying to compensate for the loss of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand. Meanwhile, Chelsea will have to replace Jonh Terry (34) before too long.
Varian would be an exceptional replacement. Let’s see him in a action. Manchester United and Chelsea fans: ideal signing?

Varane should go to utd. He will have to pass terry and Cahill on the starting 11 and if Evans is able to start then he will easily be a starter

Varbne Would Be A Very Good Buy For United At 20 Million. I Think Van Gaal Should Not Hesitate To Buy To Be A Long Term Replacement For Rio
