Efficient

Some players don’t suit certain clubs – Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a case in point at Barca – but that doesn’t mean they can’t flourish at another top club with a more suitable system.

It was always one of Jose Mourinho’s stranger decisions to get rid of the young Belgian winger Kevin de Bruyne. He joined Chelsea in 2012 but only made three appearances for the club and spent much of his time out on loan.

Wolfsburg snapped him up for big bucks and they have been very happy with him, thank you very much. De Bruyne has been a consistent performer for the German side scoring 6 goals in 31 league games. Even more impressively, he already has 28 caps and 7 goals for Belgium.

And now Manchester City are said to be interested:

MANCHESTER CITY are looking to sign former Chelsea man Kevin De Bruyne.

He may be a little languid in his movement – this is no Sergio Aguero in terms of acceleration – he’s more of an Andre Schurrle style player who is ultra efficient, rarely cedes possession and rarely wastes a delivery. He has excellent distribution but is a finisher as well as a creator and loves to hit the ball early. We really like him and feel that there is more to come from the lad.

His adaptability may also interest Manchester City, who are currently light in the attacking areas of their squad, due mainly to injury.

Let’s see De Bruyne in action. Manchester City fans: could De Bruyne become a regular member of the first eleven?
