PICTURE: Manchester City’s Strongest XI vs Palace with injury update

City Palace

Walkover?

After a tough and relatively positive couple of weeks Manchester City will be pleased to have a seemingly straightforward fixture against Crystal Palace this weekend.

But, lest we forget, any team managed by Neil Warnock is going to have some fight about them. Warnock teams tend to enjoy themselves and they will definitely cause a few upsets this season. Expect Crystal Palace to come out in a bullish mood, even if there is a huge quality chasm between the two sides.

Manchester City seem to have their swerve on again and the results are flowing – they have taken maximum points in their last 7 games, stretching back to the 2-2 draw against QPR at the beginning of November.

But, even without Sergio, Manchester City are primed for a big assault on The Premier League this Christmas. They can also expect Chelsea to have at least one injury to a major player at some point this season to slow their biggest rivals down.

Apart from Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Edin Dzeko are out until the new year and Stevan Jovetic will probably miss this one too. But Nastasic may return to the squad. Still, Manchester City are really light up top for this fixture with their three main strikers injured.

The injury list doesn’t look too good right now – but Manchester City have a straightforward looking Xmas fixture list and we think that they will be OK.

So here is our best team for the game on Saturday (Kick Off 12:45 local time).
