We would be shocked if, despite all his teething troubles, Radamel Falcao didn’t become indispensable to Manchester United over the next 6 months.
United will rarely have a player quite this good on the books and, if they can get him fit, they will see overwhelming evidence of this in the medium term.
From Falcao’s point of view, he will never have better facilities or staff around him to get back to his best. Everything is in place for him to profit at Manchester United and now he just needs a bit of luck with the niggling injuries that have hindered his progress.
Latest reports suggest that one of his brilliant ex-team mates could be heading to The Premier League and Manchester United could be amongst the interested parties.
Jorge Mendes sounds out Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd over £30m Joao Moutinho move
The 28 year old has been at Monaco for 18 months. But, having been sold the idea of a massive project on joining, he has since seen the likes of Falcao and James Rodriguez leave as Monaco look to change their policy on signings and their overall budget.
He’s played 76 times for Portugal and is a real pass master with excellent technique and guile. But we believe that he may be too similar to what Manchester United already have for the club to be really interested.
At 5ft 7in the diminutive midfielder has much the same skill set as players like Ander Herrera and Juan Mata. We feel that Manchester United are currently looking to bulk up their midfield with the signings of powerhouses like Kevin Strootman of Roma.
Moutinho certainly wouldn’t be out of his depth at Manchester United. But we think that the club has many other priority targets ahead of the Portuguese.
Let’s see him in action. Manchester United fans: is this what the club needs?
