Arsenal set to beat rivals to genius – report

Arsenal essentially have a dead rubber in The Champions League this week which may give manager Arsene Wenger time to consider serious January reinforcements in order to stop the walls closing in for a while longer.

Latest reports suggest that Arsenal will continue to work from the ground up with their transfer policy and snare a bewitching youngster.

ARSENAL are set to beat Manchester United in the race look for Exeter City’s teenage sensation Ethan Ampadu.

The kid is only 14 but played for The Wales U16s against Franc in September and against England last week.

He was up against players who were naturally a lot older than him. And at that age there can be a huge difference in physicality as the body grows quickly. But the lad didn’t look out of place.

The fact that his dad works as a coach at Arsenal’a academy has perhaps given The Gunners first dibs on the signing.

The player is currently representing Exeter City, but such is his promise that the big boys are now sniffing around and a deal could be done soon.

Manchester United and Chelsea were also credited with an interest in the exciting youngster.

This kid looks as if he may well make the grade at a top club but will surely have to go back on loan for some time even if he does sign for Arsenal.
