Very Quick

Tottenham have a decent squad but fans will be keen to see some investment in the coming windows with all departments of the squad needing a tweak.

Up top Soldado has shown a bit of form of late but Spurs need more quality to take some of the burden from Harry Kane’s young shoulders.

In Mason and Bentaleb Tottenham have some exciting midfielders but none of their numerous middle men have yet to really demand a regular berth in the side.

And in defence Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t yet found a balance, with all manner of different selections used in the formative months of the season.

But one arrival seems inevitable as The Times reports that young DeAndre Yedlin looks set for an early move to Spurs:

DeAndre Yedlin has been granted a work permit this week and the right back is expected to complete his move to Tottenham Hotspur next month.

Apparently his move have been brought forward as a consequence of several key defensive injuries and the fact that long term absentee, Kyle Walker, is still some way short of match fitness. Yedlin was loaned back to The Seattle Sounders after signing for Tottenham in the summer, on the back of a superb performance against Belgium in The World Cup.

This guy is a classic modern full back. He’s a decent stopper and a wonderful athlete with pace to burn. He never stops running and has great technique going forward. We are excited about the 21 year old as he can add serious quality to the Tottenham squad and is an explosive and entertaining footballer.

Let’s see the lad in action. Tottenham fans: can he make the right back berth his own?

Be glad to see Yedlin arrive- but the critical requirement for January is to replace Adebayor.
He must be gone and a new striker must be acquired.
