If reports are to be believed then Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal could be about to sign the fourth left sided defender of his short reign at the club.
The Dutchman has already brought Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo to the club since the summer. But with all of them currently out of the side through injury (fortunately Rojo is now back in training), Manchester United may look for further reinforcements. Talksport reports:
Manchester United are leading the race for Layvin Kurzawa, according to reports in France.
Although the 22 year old didn’t make it to Brazil he has since been given his first cap for France after some consistently brilliant performances at club level over the last 12 months.
The left back moved to Monaco from minnows Aix-en-Provence in 2007 and has slowly made his way into the reckoning of the first team selection.
Kurzawa has now played 53 times for Monaco and scored 5 goals. He looks like a bucaneering full back in the Patrice Evra mould – he loves to get forward and has a nice delivery.
He is also quoted as saying that he loves Manchester United:
“The club of my dreams? Manchester United. It is one of my goals to play there one day.”
Let’s take look at him in action. Manchester United fans: does the club need another left-back or should LvG concentrate on other areas of the squad?
