Superb

There are players who excite from the moment that you first see them and this guy is one of them.

Tottenham are said to have joined the hunt for the sensational Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi and Spurs fans should sincerely hope that there is substance to this particular tale.

Because, despite the quality of the blossoming Harry Kane, Tottenham will need more quality up top if they are to seriously challenge the top four any time soon.

And Icardi can become one of the best in the world. At 21 he’s already earned his debut for an Argentina national side that is particularly strong right now.

He actually played for the Barcelona youth academy before going to Sampdoria in 2011. The then 18 year old scored 11 goals in 33 appearances in his first season in Italy and a bigger club beckoned. His remarkable goal scoring antics have continued at Inter where he has bagged 20 in just 39 games.

That’s a brilliant record for a seasoned striker in his prime let alone a 21 year old. Suffice to say that, if Tottenham can do a deal, they should make the move. It can only help that their boss is of course a fellow countrymen of the prolific youngster.

The Express reports:

Tottenham join Chelsea and Liverpool in race for £28m-rated Argentine star Mauro Icardi

We think that he’s got a massive career ahead of him and if Spurs can do a deal it would represent a major coup for the club.

Let’s see the lad in action. Tottenham fans: too much money for one so young?

Spurs can get a cut price by throwing in Soldado and Adebayor , although I do not think they will get much for dead wood.
