Is it just us or have Real Madrid got their most suitable manager in years? Real tend to renew their head coach every two or three years. Of course the pressure of such a job means that this time frame might be the most healthy pattern.
But, if Real Madrid are planning to buck their recent trend and keep their manager long-term then this is surely the time to do it. Ancelotti has the drive and tactical nous to succeed. He clearly has the respect of the players. And he’s a calm head when all around him is in chaos. Just look at the start of the season when some were calling for his head after a couple of defeats. It’s hard to imagine now. But Carlo rode the storm beautifully.
Anyway, with or without Ancelotti, Real Madrid need to plan their long term more carefully and they seem to be paying more attention than ever to the young talent around the globe.
English media outlet, The Guardian, reveals today:
They’ve already bagged Ajax’s Mink Peeters, 16, and Mallorca’s Marco Asensio, 18. Now they want the 15-year-old Martin Odegaard from Stromsgodset and Liverpool’s Pedro Chirivella, the Spain Under-18 captain who has been dubbed “the new Xabi Alonso”
This lad is so raw that he doesn’t even yet have a Wikipedia page. But he is said to have amazing passing range and accuracy for one so young. Real Madrid have been blessed by the talents of Xabi Alonso and Luka Modirc. But this guy could well prove to be the midfield passmaster of the next generation.
We have managed to dig up some highlights of the lad in action. Let’s have a look. Real Madrid fans: does he look to have the potential to succeed at the club?
