Manchester United keen on yet another goalscorer – report

It’s hard to imagine that Manchester United would be spending a lot of money on strikers in the near future.

With RvP, Falcao, Rooney, Wilson, Mata, Januzaj and Di Maria on the books Manchester United look to have the forward areas well covered.

But we have noticed that Louis van Gaal is taking a long term view at Manchester United. Their three main strikers are 31,28 and 28. So, within a few years, fresh new options will need to be found.

Latest reports suggest that Manchester United assistant coach Ryan Giggs has been spotted scouting a Ghanaian international striker over the last week.

Manchester United have a close eye on Ghana’s World Cup striker Abdul Majeed Waris.

United assistant manager Ryan Giggs is understood to have flown to Turkey on Thursday to watch Waris in action for his side Trabzonspor against Lokeren in the Europa League.

The 23 year old has already played for 4 clubs in his senior career. Last year he was on loan at Valenciennes where he bagged an impressive 9 goals in 16 games – this drew the attention of several big clubs around Europe.

The striker is really quick and nimble. He’s got lovely feet and he can beat a man with guile and pace. He’s certainly an interesting prospect for Manchester United.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans: a good buy?
