With Manchester United so obviously in need of a midfield powerhouse over the last year it’s incredible that they haven’t been more heavily linked with the brilliant Sami Khedira.
While the player has been persistently linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea, Manchester United have mainly had eyes for Arturo Vidal.
There were major concerns as to whether Khedira would fully recover after a potentially career threatening injury last season.
But his sensational World Cup form proved beyond doubt that he had lost none of his mobility or general influence while he was crocked.
He doesn’t score as many goals as Vidal and his technique may not be on quite the same level. But he would certainly improve Manchester United’s midfield. At 27 years of age he’s coming into his prime. He’s hungry and ready for the next challenge after being marginalised at Real Madrid since the signings of Kroos and Modric.
The Daily Mail reckons that United have joined the chase for his signature:
Hummels is Arsenal’s top transfer target but United could enter the battle for £32m man… and both clubs will fight for Khedira too
We think that this move makes a heck of a lot of sense. The same report also suggests that Manchester United will reignite their interest in Dortmund centre back Mats Hummels to bolster their defence. It’s hard to think of a double signing that would better suit Manchester United’s current needs.
Let’s see Khedira in action. Manchester United fans: keen?

I don’t see this transfer happen bc of the position of Hummel in Dortmund and the price Real Madrid will place on keidera, however the transfer market must remain busy $ speculations must be on too but do be delighted if it goes through though.
