With Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor arguably on the wane, Tottenham will surely look to strengthen up top before long. Indeed, this will likely be the main focus over the next couple of windows.
And while some high profile names have been linked to the club over the last year, Tottenham are searching far and wide for replacements, if reports are to be believed.
One player, who is little known outside his country, is apparently on the radar according to latest reports:
Tottenham are watching Toulouse goalscoring sensation Wissam Ben Yedder.
Ben Yedder, 24, has been prolific for Toulouse in the past two seasons and has already scored six goals in the French top flight.
It’s impossible to know for sure whether players from other leagues will adapt to The Prem. At 5ft 7in this guy isn’t exactly rugged. But a lack of height never harmed Jermaine Defoe. And Yedder’s goalscoring form over the last two years does suggest a lot of potential. The Frenchman has 34 goals in 87 league games for Toulouse and may be ready to step up.
He’s never made it to the senior international side reports suggest that he’s really blossoming at 24. The Mirror reckons that the player could be available for as little as £5m.
Let’s see some of his better moments. Tottenham fans: happy to look for uncut diamonds or should you be investing in proven class?
