Manchester United will be one of the busiest clubs in the remaining hours of the transfer window with a raft of departures and several arrivals expected.
One deal which seems particularly close to completion is that for the sale of Shinji Kagawa to Borussia Dortmund.
Many fans will be dismayed to see the talented player leave Manchester United. But whilst he has flickered brightly he has never really found a specific role in the team and it looks like he will return to the club where he made his name.
The Daily Mail reports:
Shinji Kagawa is expected in Dortmund on Friday afternoon to put the finishing touches to an £8million return to the Westfalenstadion.
Sportsmail can reveal that a four-year contract has been presented to the out-of-favour Manchester United forward and that he was close to reaching agreement on it as he prepared to fly to Dortmund for a medical.
The 25 year old joined Manchester United in July 2012 for around £12 million and Manchester United can expect to recoup £8 million of that in the deal which will take him back to Germany.
Kagawa made 56 appearances for Manchester United over the two years, scoring just 6 goals. His best position is arguably number 10 but, with Rooney, Januzaj and latterly Mata at the club, Kagawa never got a run in the hole.
