Chelsea look well equipped to make a serious challenge for The Premier League this season, with the smile on Jose’s face telling us that he’s a confident man.

When you look around the squad there are no glaring weaknesses and certainly they look to be going in the right direction in terms of their preseason trajectory.

But Jose regards power and physicality as a priority for any top side and there have been rumours all summer that he might add some more of it to his engine room, to complement the guile of Cesc Fabregas.

Paul Pogba has often been mentioned but a player who seems to be linked ever more regularly is Sami Khedira. He’s the sort of warrior that Mourinho likes and has that steely determination and power that could make Chelsea even harder to play through this autumn and beyond.

The Express reports today:

Reports suggest Khedira has told Carlo Ancelotti of his desire to quit Real and his agent will fly to London to negotiate a deal with one of the Premier League powerhouses.

The Blues in the meantime spent over £30million on Cesc Fabregas and Jose Mourinho hasn’t ruled out making more addition before the transfer window closes on September 1.

At 27 there were concerns that Khedira would take a long time to recover his form after serious injury. But he extinguished those doubts very quickly at The World Cup where he was a stand out performer and integral to the success of the German side.

If Chelsea are already slight favourites for the title they would have to be nailed on if they brought this 6ft 2in powerhouse into the side.

We do feel that Jose will have one more foray into the market and he could do a lot worse than to bring this lad in.

Let’s see Khedira in action. Chelsea fans: worth the big outlay?

Khedira play chelsea style having khedira and matic in the position is a massive boost to,but am happy for courtios he is a very nice goalkeeper and young of age and is what cech did when he take cudicini as a youn number keeper, now is his turn let him take it the way he sees it some days are like that.
