Exciting import

If reports are to be believed then Manchester United may find out about whether they are going to make a major acquisition come Friday.

The Vidal deal seems ongoing, with suggestions that Manchester United have made another bid for his services this week.

And another major target appears to be the brilliant winger Juan Cuadrado.

With Barcelona also on his case this could be a difficult signing for Manchester United to complete but reports suggest that his club Fiorentina want a conclusion this week about whether the player is staying or going.

The Express reports that Manchester United are approaching a sort of D-Day over Cuadrado:

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to find out on Friday whether they have been successful in their bid to land Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.

Reports earlier this week suggested that United were preparing a £28m bid to beat Bayern Munich and Barcelona to the Colombian winger.

Looking at the sort of system that Louis van Gaal is likely to play next season Cuadrado could fit in beautifully as a wing back.

He’s got pace to burn, a really engine and the football intelligence to patrol that entire right flank in a 3-5-2 formation. He is a winger by trade but we think that he would make a magnificent and penetrative wing back. He would cause all sorts of problems for opposition defenders in The Premier League while also helping out his centre backs when necessary.

Let’s have a look at the player in action. Manchester United fans: would could Cuadrado be the best signing of the summer?
