Manchester United: Major move for 66 cap forward?

The Theatre Of Dreams

Good move?

In typically astute fashion Louis van Gaal seems to be taking time to assess his current squad of players before delving further into the transfer market for Manchester United this summer.

We heard last season about how much money David Moyes was going to spend in the transfer market. But one of our major problems with him as Manchester United manager was that he didn’t get enough out of what he had at his disposal.

Anyone can go out and buy a team of super individuals, given enough money, but Manchester United already have some great players who under performed on Moyes’s watch.

That said you do imagine there will be two or three additions before the window closes and also some departures.

One Manchester United player who has been subject to regular speculation is Javier Hernandez.

The Mirror reported on Friday afternoon:

Javier Hernandez could be set for a loan move to Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The Mexican endured a frustrating season last term and is believed to be hankering for a move away this summer.

The Mexican, who has scored a phenomenal 36 goals in 66 caps for his country, started his career at Manchester United in absolutely scintillating form and bagged 20 goals in his first season. But we’ve never been completely convinced by his first touch, his hold-up play or his ability to shoot from distance.

But he obviously does have great qualities too – he’s incredibly quick, works his socks off and always seems to find the perfect position to get himself into. He’s a fox in the box if you will.

Hernandez is a dream of a squad player for any successful side. But we don’t think that his game is rounded enough for him to be the first choice number 9 at Manchester United.

So if he does want to be playing every week then perhaps a move away from the club would suit him. It would be a sad day for Manchester United as he has become a fan favourite for his work rate and goal threat.

It’s impossible to say what his future holds right now but we should certainly know, one way or the other, in the next few weeks.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans: keep or let go?
