If we had to put money on it we would say that Everton will start next season with at least one new wide man.
They have been linked with so many wingers over the last year that it seems Roberto Martinez is keen to add a bit more quality in those areas.
One of the standout performers of the World Cup has been winger Enner Valencia. We reported this week on Everton’s potential interest in the Ecuador wide man.
He offered a portent of his quality in the friendly game with England before the World Cup and has gone on to have a brilliant tournament despite his team being knocked out on Wednesday night.
Like his countrymen Antonio Valencia, Enner has a great engine and gets up and down that flank all day long.
But he’s not just an athlete – he’s also a technician.
The younger Valencia has a wonderful delivery on him and seems to show real consistency in his crossing.
We believe that he would be a really top signing for Everton and bookmaker Skybet have installed The Toffees as favourites to sign the player this summer if he does leave his current club.
Now that Ecuador are out of The World Cup you would imagine that his future will be decided, one way or another, pretty quickly. Everton fans should watch this space.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Everton fans: do you think this is a realistic and decent quality signing?

Enner Valencia is a striker, not a winger.
