There has been a huge amount of talk about Luis Suarez joining either Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer.
Real Madrid had seemed the likely destination for the player but the latest reports suggest that he may be about to move to Barcelona with the Catalan club desperate for a signature.
If that is the case Real Madrid may still look to strengthen their forward line – and perhaps their alternative is already lined up.
Because the Spanish newspaper AS reportedly reckons that Real Madrid are now keen on Radamel Falcao of Monaco.

The Columbian striker, who is currently not at the World Cup due to injury, has rejected the chance to play in England as he keen to join European champions Real Madrid this summer.
Falcao only just missed out on The World Cup having seriously injured himself playing for the French club.
And, just like with Edinson Cavani at PSG, there have been rumblings of discontent from the moment Falcao signed for the club last summer.
This could of course just be hollow transfer speculation but there is rarely smoke without fire in these situations and Real Madrid would probably be keen on a player of this quality if he was available – and perhaps even if he wasn’t!
While Karim Benzema has had another good season at Real Madrid there is a feeling that the number 9 position could be improved and Falcao is one of the few who could possibly better Madrid’s front line.
The Colombian is about as explosive and deadly as strikers come. It’s a massive shame that he wasn’t at The World Cup this summer but he will be perfectly fit by August and may just have a new club.
