Tottenham have been quiet in the transfer market so far this summer. We have to put that down, in part, to the change of manager that occurred a couple weeks ago.

But, with everything now sorted in terms of the exciting new appointment, Mauricio Pochettino will begin in earnest to mould Tottenham in his own image.

We will be very interested to see what he does with players like Eric lamella and Sandro who have been linked with moves away.

And we also wait with bated breath to see how or whether he uses his Southampton connections to bring in more talent.

But let’s not forget that Pochettino must have friends in Argentina. Two players who ply their trade in South America have been linked with the club today – players who look as if they can add a bit of class to the squad. The Guardian says:

Tottenham, though, are also chasing River Plate’s Sebastian Driussi and Flamengo’s Frickson Erazo.

Sebastian Driussi – The 18 year old striker has only played twice for Argentinian side River Plate. Raw is not the word! But he’s shown his potential with the Argentina U-17 side, scoring 7 in 15 outings. CLICK FOR DRIUSSI

Frickson Erazo – Is a 26 year old Ecuadorian defender who has just signed for Flamengo after successful spells with El Nacional and Barcelona SC. He’s also turned out 37 times for Ecuador, scoring once. At 6ft 3in he’s a commanding presence and could be a decent addition to the squad.

Let’s take a look at him in action. CLICK FOR ERAZO

my first choice for manager was the Dutchman.im now glad I was wrong.so many players have praised the Argentinian that he must be someone special.ive watched spurs since billy nicks day.had very little to feel good about since.now there does seem hope.chairman has at last picked somebody that gives us hope.i think this season it will be glory, glory.about time.
