The job that Tony Pulis has done at Crystal Palace since he joined the club in January almost defies belief.

Even the best case scenario for Crystal Palace at the turn of the year seemed to involve a massive relegation dogfight.

Few could have imagined the turnaround at the club since the ex-Stoke manager took over. If he had been in charge of Crystal Palace from the start of the season perhaps they would be competing for The Champions League spots!

Seriously though he’s done an incredible job on a shoestring budget and he must surely have been on every shortlist for manager of the year.

Now that Crystal Palace are completely safe they will turn their attention to next year and consolidating their place in The Premier League.

But Pulis will be working hard throughout the summer to bolster his current Crystal Palace squad.

The Guardian reported this week that Pulis wants on fire front man Connor Wickham from Sunderland. Unless a big team comes in for the player then you would imagine his availability will be dependent on Sunderland’s fate in The Premier league this season.

But at 21 years of age he really does look as if he is starting to fulfil that massive potential. He could become the perfect Premier League striker as he has all the physical attributes to succeed in the EPL.

The other player rumoured to be interesting Crystal Palace this week is Stephen Nzonzi.

Pulis has worked with the Frenchman before and we think he’s one of the most underrated players in The Premier League – we believe that he has such good feet and reading of the game that he could actually play for one of the biggest five or six teams in England.

So, like Connor Wickham, if Crystal Palace can get this guy it’s pretty much a no-brainer.

Let’s take a look at Wickham in action. Crystal Palace fans: is there any chance of getting Wickham and Nzonzi?
