Jurgen Klopp has made it his policy to blood young players whenever he has had the opportunity at Liverpool.
The likes of Ben Woodburn have come to the fore over the last 12 months, and the Reds are now monitoring another teenager in Crystal Palace’s Joseph Hungbo, as per the South London Press.
The 17-year-old has been impressing for the under-18 side at Selhurst Park, playing as a winger on either side or as a number 10.
He has already shown a keen eye for goal and brilliant pace.
He’s also featured for the under-23s and is likely to be at the centre of a tug-of-war between England and Nigeria, with the Three Lions having sent scouts to watch him last season.
Klopp may have forked out for Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, but he evidently has one eye on developing starlets, handing promising full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold an increasingly prominent role in the first team and snapping up 19-year-old forward Dominic Solanke, who struggled to make the grade at Chelsea.
