He’s a 23 year old German who is starting to make a name for himself as a winger of some danger in the Bundesliga. Bought by Bayer Leverkusen from Eintracht Braunschweig in 2011 he is slowly establishing himself and others are apparently taking notice. The youngster has played 5 times for the German U21 national team but has yet to turn out for a senior side dripping with talent like you simply wouldn’t believe.
While there are no official lines of interest from Everton as yet, transfermarket.co.uk, an affiliate of German Newspaper Bild, recently said this of him:
Karim Arabi Bell is loaned (back to Eintracht Braunschweig) until the summer and must return to Leverkusen. But besides Hertha (Berlin) English clubs now hunt him. Everton, Stoke City and Southampton are said to want to buy him.
A bit like Gerard Deulofeu he’s a tricky and pacey forward who can slot into several positions across the front line. We think that this is the sort of mobile and technically skilled player that Roberto Martinez will be looking to recruit more of this summer. We also think that, because it’s a World Cup year, the transfer market will be even more intense than ever.
Martinez will want to strengthen if the club are to continue their progress towards the Champions League places and this kid may have the attributes to play a part for Everton.
Let’s see the lad in action. Everton fans – does he fit the bill?
