We think that Everton have been playing lovely football this season. It seems that while David Moyes has taken his workmanlike style of play up the road to Manchester United Roberto Martinez has been busy installing an altogether more thrilling manner of play at Goodison.
What we like about Everton this season is their speed of passing and overall play. They look like a really coherent unit who move forwards and backwards as one. They do of course have the players to make this happen – footballers like Barkley, Deulofeu and Mirallas are technically good enough to execute the lighting counter attacks that Everton have started to produce on a regular basis.
This style is why we think that Everton keep getting linked to speedy wingers. Aiden McGeady has come in and we believe that a couple more speedsters will be brought in before the start of next season.
We have been reminded this week about one player who has come to the attention of the Everton boss last winter. Dynamo Moscow winger Balazs Dzsudzsak’s agent had this to say about the last transfer window:
“Yes, in the winter, Everton showed interest in Dzsudzsák. But now negotiations are frozen. Talks can happen in the summer when the transfer window reopens,” he said.
Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested in the 27 year old who really made his name in The Dutch league at PSV, where he scored 44 goals in just 114 league games for the club. In fact he’s banged in the goals wherever he has played, including 14 in 58 for the Hungarian national side.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Everton fans – is it worth revisiting this transfer in the summer?
