Without playing in a particularly convincing manner this season Chelsea find themselves miles clear in The Premier League title race. Chelsea fans must be absolutely tickled to have Jose Mourinho, the old master, back at the helm of the club.
Chelsea aren’t swashbuckling but they are winning and you can also sense that this is a team still in transition. How good will Chelsea be in two years time?
They will have most probably added another world class striker, by that time, to give them more cutting edge up top.
But the continued reshuffle is also seeing high profile players leave the club. Juan Mata has gone, to the consternation of some, and we believe that David Luiz is also on his way this summer.
Another Chelsea player who is reportedly drawing interest from top clubs is Brazilian Oscar. We know that the number 10 is a favourite of Jose Mourinho and he seems to want to build his team around the forward.
But The Daily Mail reports that PSG could make a massive bid in the summer.
Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a £41.5million (49m Euros) bid for Chelsea’s Brazilian star Oscar ahead of the World Cup this summer.
The French champions, who would almost certainly face strong competition for Oscar’s signature should Chelsea decide to sell, will make a decision on whether to bid before the end of the season.
We think that this is an interesting one. Although the Chelsea boss has continually backed the player we think Chelsea could do better in that position. Oscar is a really good quality player but we don’t see him dominating games in the same way that Wayne Rooney regularly does in that position.
If offered 49m Euros for the player we would consider a deal. Chelsea fans, would you want to keep Oscar at all costs or would a bid that big tempt you to sell?
