How many times have we talked about ‘must win’ games for Manchester United this season? The problem is that some of those games haven’t been won and the club finds itself in the unusual position of being out of the title race before spring has sprung.
We can’t see them getting fourth with Liverpool playing so well and feel that The Champions League is the only hope of success this season.

Whatever the detractors say about the size of the contract, Wayne Rooney’s new deal is superb news for the club, and could prove to be the difference between a bad season and a terminal decline.
Make no mistake, Wayne Rooney is absolutely vital to the fortunes of Manchester United. So United will hope to round off a positive week with a win. Even in this turbulent season, they should achieve that.
