Manchester United would ideally like to add another player or two before the window closes. Juan Mata signed last week for £37m in what represents a great start to the rebuild.
But, albeit without Rooney and Januzaj starting, Manchester United still looked pretty limp against Cardiff. They simply can’t control the midfield in games at this point.
So a midfielder would have to be the priority and we wouldn’t be at all surprised if David Moyes is working on deals as we speak.
One of the more interesting suggestions over the last few hours is that Manchester United might try to do a swap deal in order to snare one of their top targets.
MANCHESTER UNITED are exploring the possibility of offering Shinji Kagawa to Borussia Dortmund in January – in order to beat Arsenal to the signature of Germany star Marco Reus.
With Dortmund keen on bringing the 24-year-old back to the Bundesliga, Moyes is weighing up an ambitious swap deal involving Reus.
While we think that Manchester United could still use Kagawa, he does seem to have been even further marginalised by the signing of Juan Mata. Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is clearly still a big admirer, with the report saying:
Klopp is quoted to have said it hurts to see “one of the best players in the world [playing] 20 minutes at Manchester United on the left wing” about their ex-playmaker.
So, while Manchester United fans might have mixed feelings about letting Kagawa go, they might be keen overall, to get a sublime midfielder in as compensation.
Reus is an attacking midfielder who scores goals for fun. He’s also got the sort of range of passing that could be a catalyst for a far quicker Manchester United team.
You do feel that Manchester United need to bring in another player – a midfielder – if they are going to seriously push the four buoyant sides who currently occupy the Champions League positions.
Let’s take a look at Reus in action. Manchester United fans. Would you be happy, overall, with a swap?

it hurts to loose a player like Kagawa but as per now,we need a defensive midfieler so let him go as long as he is part of the deal to any club.
