Manchester United: bookie opens market on another big January transfer

Its going to be a hectic 48 hours for The Premier League clubs. After a crazy amount of posturing for most of January the rate at which transfers are being concluded has risen steeply over the last few days. Matic, Mata and Cabaye have so far taken centre stage but it feels as if a lot more deals are going to be done before midnight on Friday.

One player who seems to be generating a lot of interest in this window is Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan. The 27-year-old Turkey international has had a fine spell at the Spanish club, who are flying high in La Liga, challenging the other Madrid and Barcelona for the title.

The Daily Express said this week of the interest in the winger:

MANCHESTER CITY have joined Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in the race for Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan.

Arsenal could well be in for a wide man now that Theo Walcott hs been ruled out for the rest of the season. As for Manchester City, it’s hard to how they could get any stronger right now. Turan would certainly have to think long and hard about a move to Manchester City as gametime could be an issue.

Bookmaker SkyBet have opened up a market int he last 24 hours on where the player might end up if he does leave his club in January.

They have Manchester United best priced for his signature at odds of 8/1. Then come Chelsea and Manchester City at 10/1. Despite the report, Arsenal aren’t in the running, as far as SkyBet are concerned.

Let’s have a look at the lad in action. Manchester United fans – does he boil your your potatoes?
