Everytime we hear that it’s the end of the January spend for Chelsea, another rumour pops up in the press.
Jose has kept his cards close to his chest and done his business well. As usual he looks like a man in control.
Chelsea have been linked, in the latest round of news, with an exciting young midfielder who could join the club this month to become the 4th January signing.
Chelsea have held talks with Hajduk Split over a £3million deal for teenage midfielder Mario Pasalic.
He broke into Split’s first team last season and is expected to make his debut for the national side soon.
Lazio made a bid earlier this week but Chelsea could sign him then loan him out.
The report does suggest that the player would, most likely, be loaned straight back out after signing for Chelsea. Such is the competition in the Chelsea squad right now that it’s very hard to see him getting any first team game time this season. Pasalic could become yet another loaned out Chelsea prodigy.
Born in Germany, the Croation international has played at youth level for is country but hasn’t yet broken into the senior national side, despite rumours that he is pushing for a place in the squad.
The youngster has been on fire for his club side Hajduk Split this season, scoring six goals in 18 appearances for the club. Here is a snippet of the youngster in action. Chelsea fans, can you see this lad doing the business for the club?
