Ohhhhh oh Ke Ko Ke Ko KE – that’s what we were looking forward to singing when this lad entered the Premier League fray. Manchester United were odds-on to sign the brilliant young Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke in January. And David Moyes’ trip around Europe last week got everybody excited that a deal was potentially close to completion – or at least in the offing.
But the latest news reports suggest that the youngster has signed a new contract with his current club. The Metro today reports:
David Moyes has missed out on another high-profile target after news that Koke has signed a new deal with Atletico Madrid.
The 22-year-old Spain international midfielder has extended his stay at the Vicente Calderon Stadium for another four years until 2018.
Koke would have been a great signing for Manchester United. A real all rounder in the midfielder like Marouane Fellaini – the difference between the two being that Koke has superb technical skill to go with his super physique. He has already played seven times for Spain and you would imagine that if this form continues he will on the plane to Brazil 2014 – a good tournament and his value will skyrocket yet again.
Although these reports haven’t been substantiated by actual quotes from the player, many areas of the media are suggesting that the deal has been done for the player to stay at Atletico. So, in all likelihood, Manchester United will have to look elsewhere in their hunt for a proper midfielder.
Manchester United fans, are you confident that the club will actually sign a player in the January window?
Let’s remind ourselves of the quality of Koke – the one that seemingly got away. CLICK FOR KOKE

DM has no credential to get world class players. Furthermore the team is languishing at mid table 14 points away from the leaders with 15 games to go. Yet the idiot thought that he could work wonders to retain the title. Flat hope since when he wins a title. But certainly he is leading the club to disaster. Resign gracefully or be sacked soon. If he loose in the 2nd leg to Sunderland, he better go to manage a team in Africa. That even if they want him.
