Tottenham will go into the weekend game with Wigan with mixed injury news. Magic man Moussa Dembele could be out for six weeks after aggravating a hip problem against Belgium. It’s a particularly bitter pill for Tottenham fans to swallow as the Belgian had started his career at Spurs so well.
Moussa’s countryman Toby Alderweireld is the subject of speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham in an £8m deal. The Ajax defender, 23, could come to The Lane as early as January, according to The Daily Mail.
In better injury news, AVB has said that Scott Parker is ahead of schedule in his recovery and could return to training in the next few weeks. Another boost comes in the shape of Emmanuel Adebayor who is in the squad for the weekend game after injury has deprived Spurs of his services for most of the campaign.
Steven Caulker is the subject continued controversy as unofficial reports suggest that he is to be charged by the Serbian police for his part in the melee following the recent game between England and Serbia U21. Some believe that Caulker is to be charged for not being racist enough.
Tottenham will expect to keep their fine run of league form going this weekend and are worth a bet even at 4/9 with William Hill.

Yes, the daily fail at it yet again. Spurs are going to buy yet another centre half when they have already got Kaboul, Vertonghen, Caulker, Dawson and little old William Gallas. When said player does not join Spurs it’s always Spurs miss out or player turns Spurs down when in fact it was a pack of lies from start to finish and all the wannabe journalists fall for it everytime.
