Tottenham: Major deal done, more to come

Tottenham have beaten Manchester United, among others, to the signing of the highly talented Fulham player Moussa Dembélé. The Belgian international, 25, was one of the rising stars of the Premier League last season and anyone who saw his performance against Manchester United at the weekend could not fail to be excited about this player.

The Guardian today reports that Manchester United made a late bid for the player but it didn’t match the £15m on the table from Tottenham, leaving the path clear for his transfer across London.

Tottenham fans should be absolutely delighted by this signing, and soccersweep believes that he, along with RVP, is the best capture of the summer. Dembélé not only possesses unearthly dribbling skills and great shooting ability but is also built like a tank. He has every quality needed to be amongst the best players in the league. Make no mistake, this signing represents a major coup for Tottenham. We think that the player will soon be regarded as highly at the club as Gareth Bale.

It looks like Tottenham are going to be the major movers in the last few days of the window, with other arrivals expected in the next day or so. Hugo Lloris, Willian and others have been strongly linked and we shall keep you abreast of developments.

I am not too fussed about strikers if all our forward mids score goals as well as annoy the f**k out of opposition teams we should be in for a good season. I Hope it all comes together soon however I expect they will have to play as a team for a while to gel. The last player I want to see in is Lloris, AVB needs a sweeper keeper and he fits the bill just perfectly.
