Tottenham go for a Brazilian?

One of the most annoying aspects the Redknapp sacking is that it leaves the club rudderless at a time when they should be tieing up deals for new and existing players. Whether Daniel Levy is doing this anyway is debatable, but the sooner a manager is confirmed the more chance the club has of keeping its stars and making quality additions before the start of next season.

After his time at Chelsea many Spurs fans will read on with horror as talk continues about AVB potentially replacing Harry. It’s like a nightmare . Harry out, AVB in? But at least if the Portuguese does come, he may bring a top striker with him.

According to SambaFoot, if AVB does arrive at Spurs he will fill the coffers of his ex, ex-employers and concurrently get vengeance from his ex-employers by beating Chelsea to the signing of Porto’s incredible Hulk. Whilst the reputation of the AVB is in tatters in this country, there is no doubting the class of the Brazilian forward who scores goals for fun and would undoubtedly improve Tottenham’s first XI if he comes.

Whether there is any truth in the story at all, or whether it’s just a clever ploy by AVB’s agent to get him another job, we shall see.

Spurs have missed three good managers basically because of timing. Redknapp should have been shown the door immediately the season finished. When he settled for fourth at Villa Park he opened the door for Arsenal and said ‘after you’ to the french bottle tosser. I am sure that was the final straw and if it wasnt it should have been. Levy has never been good with timing. Marginally better this time than when Martin Jol learned he was sacked at half time.

Hulk would be an amazing addition to our squad and would work incredibly well in a 4-3-3. I’m up for AVB too, imagine

    Friedel
    Walker – Kaboul – Vertonghen – BAE
    Sandro – VDV – Parker
    Hulk – Damiao – Bale

akshayaalase you can’t just plan things out like that . What we need is a solid striker that scores goals, a centre back, and if modric goes, another creative midfielder.
    CB – vertonghen
    ST – hulk, damiao, huntelaar,
    Creative mid – eriksen, sahin,

if modric goes, i think it is worth selling him to spain to limit impact against us, and also to try and wangle a player plus cash deal, thinking of nuri sahin, higuin or if he goes to barcelona, some young talent

Do people forget about huddlestone we do not need another playmaker with Huddlestone and vdv.
The hulk is using us in an agent game of more interested parties the better the deal.

Can you name me a single successful signing that REDKNAPP made for Spurs?
I would go on to say that Parker and Brad Friedel are the only successful signing in his 4 years that he made.

VDV – Signed by Levy, Redknapp didn’t even know anything about it until the morning after
Adebayor – Signed by Levey, Redknapp found out via the press
Defoe – How often does he play for Spurs? Think he is happy being on the bench? Nope!
Sandro – Actually a great signing, but rarely gets a game in unless parker is injured.
    Bent – ? Nuff said
    Kranjčar – Well that failed

So I count 2 good signings, one who really needs to retire or start making way for a younger keeper now. The other, Parker, I believe is no better than Sandro, infact Sandro breaks play up higher up the pitch and is better for counter attacking, Parker relies on blocking shots around the keeper’s D area.
