It’s quite incredible but, even at 38, Ryan Giggs is one of the most mobile footballers in the Premier League. Whilst many players tire and struggle on the pitch once they get into their 30s, Giggs looks like a hyperactive 10 year old bully who has just had his ball nicked.
Whatever the press says about the man and whatever you, the public, think of him we all must surely agree that Ryan Giggs, the footballer, is a Manchester United legend. He doesn’t just turn up to make up the numbers. He’s still easily one of the most effective and dangerous players in the Manchester United squad. I reckon that the vast majority of the managers in the Premier League would still love him in their team.
His cross for the equalising goal against Chelsea last weekend was pinpoint. Few could have put the ball on the bonce of Javier Hernandez with quite so much accuracy. Giggs can call upon a huge pool of experience and is still physically able to put it all into practice. Consequently, he seems to have more time on the ball than ever and shows unearthly composure, allied to dribbling skills which are as precise, if not as speedy, as ever.
Whatever your football persuasion, most fans of the game will agree that Ryan Giggs is an absolute joy to watch. Long may it continue, because he even make me feel young. Here are some of his best moments. So far!
