Tottenham bookmaker favourites to sign World Cup star in January if he moves on

Get him in

Tottenham have had a stuttering start to the campaign and it’s hard to know quite what you are going to get from them from week to week. We do feel that they are on a slow upward curve but more investment is needed.

One area of the team that arguably still lacks a really consistent performer is the base of the midfield. And, to that end, summer target Morgan Schneiderlin has once more opened the can of worms in relation to his failed summer move.

He is quoted in The Star on Wednesday as saying:

“The club had always told me they’d sell me if the price was right. Then they confirmed to my agents, ‘Morgan is not for sale’.

“It was a shock to me. I said to myself, ‘Why block (my move) after all I’ve given and lived through at this club’?

“You bet I was angry. I had to make a stand. I went for it. ‘You are not showing me any respect and you haven’t kept your word. You are treating me like cattle’.

The Frenchman’s performances certainly haven’t suffered despite his annoyance. He has had a brilliant start to the season – after a solid World Cup – to underline his value, not only as a holding midfielder, but as a player who can also offer serious goal threat. He’s a class act and we can easily imagine him improving the first team at Tottenham.

We believe that it’s simply a matter of time before he moves on. If not January then he’ll be off in the summer. The biggest obstacle to his signing might not be Southampton, but other bidders. Arsenal is another team which could most definitely use his composure and discipline in the middle of the park.

SkyBet have Tottenham as 11/2 favourites to sign Schneiderlin in the next window if he does leave The Saints.

Let’s see the lad in action. Tottenham fans: would Morgan be your priority for the winter window? Or is another striker more urgently required?

No Thanks we may not need him if Stomboli keeps improving and Capoue not playing bad Mason . They would want us to sell Townsend who i believe when is ankle ops 100% will once again be a big players at Spurs. We don’t need anymore midfielders because we have some exciting talent already and more in under 21 and on loan. All we need to do is keep playing the way we did in Southampton game just score more goals. This will kill second half swallowing that all teams are now allowed to do copious amounts Caffeine, once again being looked at to ban it again like 2005. The way Potch had us plating played right into the hands of teams who would press us into mistakes plenty passing no goal threat. The way we played against Southampton fast breaks from defense would suit out of favour Townsend and Lennon i hope Potch learned a hard lesson 65% of the ball don’t guarantee a win

HAHAHA Townsend is shit. His football brain is as small a them goobas from that Super Mario brothers movie.
We need to get as much as we can for him now while his stock is still quite high because he’ll be found out soo.

Yes your right hes been found out scoring for England last night. You can read its just you don’t believe what i am saying is true, i will put my long years watching football and the talent i had on the line say you’re a fool who will be proved wrong. I sooner believe Hoddle and Lampard than Bobby@ yahoo who both are admirers of Townsend .
