Manchester United: Price set for explosive solution – report

There is huge debate and speculation about who Manchester United’s new manager will pursue once he has fully assessed his current squad of players.

While some believe that he will make a marquee signing up top, in the form of Angel di Maria or Edinson Cavani, we believe that he will concentrate more on the defence and defensive midfield as a priority.

One player who we believe would be in his reckoning is Juan Cuadrado. With Rafael injured again on pre-season Manchester United can still turn to Antonio Valencia. Phil Jones has also filled in at full back but may not have the speed to excel as a wing back.

And we think that the role suits a player with real attacking instincts. Valencia will provide excellent cover this season but some believe that he will never quite rediscover the form which he showed 2 or 3 years back. His offensive game has been somewhat blunted and he doesn’t go past his man as easily or frequently as he used to.

Step forward Cuadrado. A player who has the ability and engine to combine his blistering forward bursts with the defensive duties that the wing back role requires.

While we believe that Rafa will also have a good season for Manchester United, if he remains injury free, we can’t think of many better players for Manchester United to sign this summer than the Colombian.

Not only can he play wing back but could also do a job up top or as number 10 if required. He’s got fantastic skill, awareness and a genuine eye for goal.

The Express reports today that a price has been set by the potential seller.

£40m and Juan Cuadrado is yours! Fiorentina tell Manchester United to pay up for Colombian

MANCHESTER UNITED have been told they must pay £40m if they want to land Fiorentina’s in-demand winger Juan Cuadrado.

With Barcelona also reportedly tracking the 26 year old Manchester United need to move fast. Even at that price we believe that he is worth the money as he would afford Manchester United so much more attacking edge and quality down the right hand side over the next 5 years.

Let’s see him in action. Manchester United fans: worth the cash?
