Premier League club declares interest in Joe Hart

Hart

After returning from his loan spell with Torino, Joe Hart will no doubt want out of Manchester City as soon as possible.

Pep Guardiola made it very clear from the outset of his reign that there was no place at the Etihad for the England stopper.

The Catalan’s preference for Claudio Bravo did not end well, but he has since signed Ederson to replace the Chilean.

As for Hart, he should have no shortage of offers. His performance level for the national side has dipped over the last year or so, but he’s still an established goalkeeper with Premier League experience.

With that in mind, the Daily Mail report that Newcastle United are interested.

Rafa Benitez has been growing frustrated at the Magpies’ lack of activity in the transfer market so far, and so he will presumably be keen to approach City sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, it’s suggested West Ham would like to take the 30-year-old on loan if they can find a way to match his wages.

Manchester United and Chelsea will continue to monitor the situation in case they have to replace David de Gea or Thibaut Courtois respectively.
