The transfer window officially opens today, not that it seems to have made any difference.
Several top Premier League clubs have already been going about their business. Manchester City have brought in Bernardo Silva and Ederson, Liverpool have broken their record fee to sign Mohamed Salah from Roma.
Manchester United have already made arguably one of the signings of the summer with the acquisition of centre-back Victor Lindelof.
However, it seems that hasn’t been enough to appease Jose Mourinho.
According to the Sun, the Portuguese is furious that the club are being slow to finalise deals for his other targets, Nemanja Matic, Alvaro Morata, and Ivan Perisic.
While there are still seven weeks to go until the start of the season, United’s players will be back for pre-season in just a week’s time as they head on tour to America, and Mourinho would like to begin working with his new men as soon as possible.
Morata is the most important signing, as following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure, United are severely lacking up front and will be reluctant to rely solely on 19-year-old Marcus Rashford.
