The Red Devils interest in a new left-back would appear to cast further doubt on the future of Luke Shaw, who it’s fair to say did not always see eye to eye with Jose Mourinho last season.
Left-back has been something of a problem position for Mourinho, though Tierney is only 20 and it remains to be seen whether he’d be signed as part of United’s long-term vision, as opposed to for the immediate future.
