Tottenham are hoping to fight off Liverpool, Everton, and Juventus as they enter the race for highly-rated Lazio star Keita Balde Diao.
That’s according to the Mirror, who suggest the 22-year-old will not sign a new deal at his current club and prefers a move to Juve.
That has not put off Spurs, even after the two Merseyside clubs saw their approaches rejected.
Balde scored 18 goals last season and Mauricio Pochettino wants more options in attack, particularly out wide.
His £30million price tag means Spurs would have to equal their record fee, paid out for Moussa Sissoko on Deadline Day last summer, to obtain his services.
The Senegal international could add depth behind Harry Kane alongside the likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.
Spurs could start the season lacking in that area as Erik Lamela continues his rehabilitation from hip surgery, and Heung-Min Son is now doubtful having broken his arm on international duty with South Korea.
