Moussa Sissoko set to be offered a way out of Spurs

Moussa Sissoko’s disastrous spell at Tottenham can soon be coming to an end.

The Frenchman signed from Newcastle last summer in a shock £30million Deadline Day deal, but he has failed to prove his doubters wrong.

Competition in Spurs’ midfield is fierce, and Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, and Eric Dier are all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Mauricio Pochettino has also seemed unimpressed with his attitude.

Sissoko is undoubtedly talented, and he will be conscious that because of his situation in north London, his place in the France squad is under threat just a year ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

The Mirror report that Marseille are planning to end his nightmare as part of their project to rival Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain for the title next season.

The Ligue 1 outfit are under relatively new ownership and now have the funds to spend, though Spurs will not expect to make £30million back.

The 27-year-old has started just eight Premier League games this season.
